2018 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited Powertrain Specs

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited was built for the outdoors and you, the adventurer.

Nature exploration all starts with the standard with a 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine that produces 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque and is mated with a 6-speed manual transmission, but also offers an optional 5-speed automatic transmission.   

This engine provides great acceleration on the road and highway, and raw-rugged power on trails and extreme rocky terrain.

The engine also features a block heater that quickly warms the engine in colder conditions to reduce wear and make it easier to start.

Tailored for off-roading, the 2018 Wrangler JK Unlimited comes standard with the Command-Trac® Shift-on-the-Fly part-time 4x4 system with a 2.72:1 low range system that is versatile to handle bumpy terrain as well as the flat streets.

For even better off-road capability, the available Rock-Trac® part-time 4x4 system incorporates Tru-Lock® front and rear electronic locking differentials and a shorter 4:1 low range. The 4:1 low gear ratio provides greater control and torque since the vehicle will crawl at lower speeds.

Interior
