CABIN SPACE & CARGO CAPACITY

If you’re in the market for an SUV, you’re probably looking for a vehicle that delivers the ideal amount of comfort and versatility inside its cabin. If this is true, you’re on the right track with the Jeep Cherokee and the Jeep Grand Cherokee. While both the Jeep Cherokee and the Grand Cherokee offer enough seating for five passengers with plenty of room for them to stretch out, there are differences in their respective overall passenger room and cargo space.

The Cherokee offers 128 cubic feet of passenger volume, while the Grand Cherokee includes 105 cubic feet of passenger volume. The Jeep Cherokee includes more front legroom at 41.1 inches compared to 40.3 inches in the front of the Grand Cherokee––but the Grand Cherokee includes more headroom for both rows.

Each vehicle includes a spacious cargo area. The Cherokee provides 25.8 cubic feet and the Grand Cherokee features 36.3 cubic feet. When the rear seats are folded, the Cherokee cargo space expands to 54.7 cubic feet, while you can have up to 68.3 cubic feet of cargo space in the Grand Cherokee. If you’re moving or hauling luggage or other large items, folding down the seats in either SUV will help increase the space immensely.

EXTERIOR DESIGN AND SIZE COMPARISON

JEEP CHEROKEE EXTERIORThere’s no denying both Jeep SUVs are utterly stylish when it comes to their exterior designs. However, your choice between the two models comes down to personal preference. First, we’ll go over the different exterior measurements of the Jeep Cherokee and the Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Cherokee measures 182 inches long, 73.2 inches wide, 65.7 inches high, and the wheelbase is 106.5 inches.

On the other hand, the Jeep Grand Cherokee delivers some larger exterior dimensions. The Grand Cherokee is 189.8 inches long, 76.5 inches wide, and 69.3 inches high. Also, the wheelbase is 114.8 inches. If you’re in the market for a larger SUV, the Grand Cherokee might be the better fit. However, if a midsize SUV suits you better, the Cherokee may be the right option for you.

The exterior design of both the Jeep Cherokee and the Jeep Grand Cherokee are bold and rugged. They rock some similar design features but are unique in their own way. The Jeep Cherokee sports a pair of distinctive headlights that make it hard to miss on the highway. Additionally, the Cherokee comes standard with 17-inch painted aluminum wheels, LED Daytime Running Lamps, LED brake lights, and more.

Moving on to the Jeep Grand Cherokee, this SUV’s most iconic feature is its fierce front grille and headlight combo. The Grand Cherokee comes standard with 18-inch Fine Silver aluminum wheels, but you can choose from 12 other wheel options, including 20-inch polished aluminum wheels with Technical Gray painted pockets.

MEDIA & TECHNOLOGY FEATURES

JEEP CHEROKEE TECHNOLOGYModern drivers need an SUV that comes equipped with an extensive lineup of advanced entertainment and technology features. Both the 2021 Cherokee and the Grand Cherokee come outfitted with the Uconnect® 4 7-inch display screen mounted into the dashboard. Each vehicle includes some of the same amenities, like the radio, USB and auxiliary inputs, and Integrated Voice Command with Bluetooth®.

Each vehicle also includes connectivity features, like Apple CarPlay® and Google Android Auto. On top of that, they both offer the available addition of SiriusXM® Satellite Radio. Also on the Cherokee and the Grand Cherokee, you can move up to higher trim levels to receive the available Uconnect® 4C NAV system that comes with an 8.4-inch touchscreen display. The built-in navigation will provide step-by-step directions to your desired destination and allow you to search for the closest restaurants, ATMs, gas stations, and more.

Additionally, both SUVs offer available SiriusXM Guardian.
