History of Cooper Family Farms
Before it became the unique attraction that it is today, Cooper Family Farms focused on beef, hay, corn, tobacco, and timber. The family’s farming history dates back to 1840. Since the beginning, the farm has grown from 100 acres to over 700 acres, spanning across both Cabell and Mason Counties.
In the early 21st century, Cooper Family Farms began offering “the MAZE,” which is currently one of its most popular activities. While visitors are there for the MAZE, they are also introduced to the many joys of farming and how some of the farm’s products are made.
The MAZE
If you’re looking for a way to get in the autumn spirit, the perfect way to do so is a trip to the MAZE. Cooper Family Farms are experts when it comes to corn mazes. The traditional MAZE includes 8-acres of corn; admission also includes a cow train ride, unlimited corn crib crawl adventures, and access to a new and improved kids play area. If you’re looking for something a bit spookier, Cooper Family Farms also offers a “Field of Screams” haunted corn maze.
Additional Activities at Cooper Family Farms
Cooper Family Farms is the perfect place to plan your next party or team bonding experience. Aside from exploring THE MAZE, you can also enjoy zip lining above the corn. To end the night, cozy up and stay warm by a campfire while you chow down on some tasty S’mores.
